Economic Value of Indo-Canadians - Aditya Jha's donation for the research at Ryerson University PDF Print E-mail

ImageThanks to the support of Mr. Aditya Jha, Chairman, POA Educational Foundation, Sandeep Agrawal, associate professor in the School of Urban and Regional Planning at Ryerson University, will conduct a study funded by Ryerson University and the POA Foundation that will develop an economic profile of East Indian diaspora in Canada.

Dr. Agrawal will combine landing records, and tax and census data, with an empirical study based on a sample survey of Indo-Canadian-owned businesses. The research is viewed as a pilot study, and will be limited to the Toronto metropolitan area. It is hoped that future study will broaden the scope to include the entire country. The study will be launched in April 2008 and completed by March 2009.
