Aditya Jha Graduate Diversity Award
The Aditya Jha Diversity Award is available to provide financial assistance and recognize the academic achievement of a student enrolled in the School of Graduate Studies Electrical and Computing Engineering Program.
Special consideration will be given to aboriginal peoples, persons with disabilities, visible minorities and women. Eligible students must demonstrate academic excellence and financial need. The Award is valued at approximately $5,000 and has been available since 2004.
|Lloyed Alston Emmanuel||Lloyed Alston Emmanuel completed BScEng in Electrical Engineering from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 2002. He is Currently enrolled in the MASC at Ryerson University and expected to graduate from Master’s in Fall 2006. He was Ryerson Graduate Scholarship Recipient in 2004/5 & 2005/6 and POA Recipient in 2005.|
|Usman Ahmed||Usman Ahmed completed BE Computer Engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan in 2001. He graduated from MASc program at Ryerson University in June 2005 and is currently pursuing his PhD at University of British Columbia (Masters Thesis title: Hardware-Software Cosynthesis for Distributed Memory Architectures). He was Ryerson Graduate Scholarship Recipient in 2004/5 and POA Recipient in 2004.|
Aditya Jha Undergraduate Diversity Awards
Two Aditya Jha Diversity Awards will be available annually to provide financial assistance and recognize the academic achievement of undergraduate students enrolled in their first, second or third year of Computer Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Science (FEAS) at Ryerson University. Special consideration will be given to aboriginal peoples, persons with disabilities, visible minorities and women.
Eligible students must demonstrate academic excellence and financial need. The two Awards are valued at approximately $3,325 each and will be offered for the first time in fall 2008.
Aditya Jha Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Award
The Aditya Jha Entrepreneurship Award will be awarded to one full-time undergraduate student enrolled in the second, third or fourth year of study in the School of Business Management, majoring in the Entrepreneurship program. Applicants must have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 and have demonstrated a commitment to entrepreneurship. Candidates for this Award must be Canadian citizens and Ontario residents with demonstrated financial need. The Entrepreneurship Award will be offered for the first time in fall 2008.
