Ryerson University is Canada’s leader in career-focused education, with more than 80 graduate and undergraduate programs in the Faculties of Arts, Business, Communication & Design, Community Services, and Engineering, Architecture and Science. Founded in 1948, Ryerson has graduate and undergraduate enrolments of 21,000 students.

Ryerson University salutes Aditya Jha, Chairman of POA Educational Foundation who with the assistance of the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and the Ontario Trust Student Support (OTSS) fund has created a $316,000 endowment to support the following five Ryerson scholarships in Engineering, Business and Community Services:

Aditya Jha Graduate Diversity Award
The Aditya Jha Diversity Award is available to provide financial assistance and recognize the academic achievement of a student enrolled in the School of Graduate Studies Electrical and Computing Engineering Program.

Special consideration will be given to aboriginal peoples, persons with disabilities, visible minorities and women. Eligible students must demonstrate academic excellence and financial need. The Award is valued at approximately $5,000 and has been available since 2004.

Aditya Jha Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Award
The Aditya Jha Entrepreneurship Award will be awarded to one full-time undergraduate student enrolled in the second, third or fourth year of study in the School of Business Management, majoring in the Entrepreneurship program. Applicants must have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 and have demonstrated a commitment to entrepreneurship. Candidates for this Award must be Canadian citizens and Ontario residents with demonstrated financial need. The Entrepreneurship Award will be offered for the first time in fall 2008.
