Volunteers Needed for e-Infrastructure Pilot Project in Canada and Nepal

Nepal is one of the bottom 20 poorest countries in the world. The foundation with some partners has recently launched a pilot project (E-Infrastructure Project ) in Nepal by donating 50 computers and 10 printers to 10 schools in Kathmandu valley. Project’s target is to send 5,000 computers to Nepal and develop a training curriculum.

Volunteers will help help collect 5,000 computers as well as work on shipping, deployment, infrastructure requirements as well as associated training plan, content and delivery. Volunteers may have the opportunity to travel to nepal to set-up the infrastructure and manage distribution of these computers. If you are motivated to “bridge the digital divide” in Nepal and have entrepreneurial attitude, please contact Ashutosh Jha (ashutosh@poafoundation.org).
